Since its inception in 2014, ViewPoint Interactive Solutions has been transforming the way brands engage and motivate their customers. One of the ways we achieve success is by pairing our creative solutions with leading hardware manufacturers, development firms and technology integrators to create truly compelling solutions that make an impact.

I want to share some details on our collaboration with Samsung, which is disrupting the kiosk market with its appealing, low-cost Samsung Kiosk, a self-service point-of-service (POS) device intended for front-of-house operation. Samsung is combining its state-of-the-art hardware with ViewPoint's interactive capabilities to deliver the kind of enjoyable POS experiences that breed brand loyalty. Together, the two partners are primarily focused on making their mark in the restaurant and hospitality industries, but serve additional markets as well.

"Traditionally, ViewPoint has been focused on the corporate market but we've always had plans to expand in a more consumer-focused direction," said ViewPoint's Director Philip Chila. "The partnership with Samsung is an important one as it allows both ViewPoint and Samsung to reach a wider consumer audience and positively impact brands in settings from retail, fast-food and restaurants to hotels, casinos, stadiums and arenas."

"We're proud that Samsung chose ViewPoint for our creative vision, end-to-end services, technical excellence and experienced team, " he added.

While Samsung is working with a few other firms to broaden its reach with its new kiosk, there is one key element that makes ViewPoint stand out from other partners: our large, in-house team of cross-disciplinary user experience (UX) design specialists and front- and back-end development specialists. "Our team has both broad technology expertise and a deep understanding of users," Chila said. "That means we can design an eye-catching and intuitive user experience and handle all software development tasks, including custom builds, for even the most complex projects."

That's a key reason Samsung selected ViewPoint. "In our enduring pursuit to build the most revolutionary technologies and capabilities to help brands enhance customer interactions and gain cost-and-time efficiencies, we enlist best-in-class partners," said Chris Mertens, Vice President of U.S. Sales, Displays at Samsung Electronics America. "The ViewPoint team brings exceptional creative vision and technical excellence that has strengthened our ability to make our kiosks more intuitive and flexible, and incorporate additional built-in tools and captivating, high-impact visuals."

The Samsung Kiosk includes an attractive 24-inch touch display powered by Samsung's SoC technology; POS capabilities and payment options, including barcode and QR code readers, and near-field communication for mobile wallets like ApplePay; beautifully designed visuals; user-centric content management systems; and front- and back-of-the-house order management systems.
